I like the Bublé. I am a fan of the Bublé. This video has been around for some time (2010 I believe) and is one of my favorite clips to watch. I love Michael’s reaction when Sam starts singing. This video makes me laugh every time I watch it. I love it.
Side note: The kids name is Sam Hollyman. He is from England and really is a talented young artist. Check out his YouTube channel.
(Oddly this video is NSFW because of some language. Including my favorite quote from MB “HOLY SH*TBALLS MOM!”)
Last night television laid to rest probably thee best “bad guy” in history. With the death of Larry Hagman late last year, while still shooting this season of Dallas, the writers, actors and producers were faced with the challenge of writing the last chapter of one of the most iconic TV characters of all time. I used to watch the original incarnation of this show every Friday night for as long as I could remember. And the stand out on that show was and will always be Larry Hagman’s superb portrayal of the downright despicable yet lovable J.R.

I have been on a movie watching tear as of late. I have been watching a ton of movies because I find myself with a ton of time on my hands. So for this installment of RMD I am grouping together a bunch of the comedies I have consumed. There were a few laughs and a few surprises.
I continue on my journey to catch up on all the movies I have missed of the last year or so. With this one I was in the mood for some action so I sought out some pulse pounding flicks to keep me company. Several hits and a couple misses but overall a good day.
This video is so well done. They took the sword fight between Eddard Stark and Jamie Lannister from the first season of ‘Game of Thrones’, gave them lightsabers and cut it all to the John Williams score. Yeah… I know; awesome. It is nearly flawless. Love this with me will you?
Throughout my life I have partaken… partook… partaked… indulged in movie marathons. Sometimes there is a theme to them but mostly they are just a random grouping of movies that I have wanted to see or whatever looked good on the video store shelf. I have been long overdue for one of these days.
Over the last half of the last year, if you haven’t noticed, I have been slacking on the updates. My real life has gotten in the way of my passion. The good thing about this is what now my real life has allowed me to get. Because I have been working so much I have accumulated bonus monies, so I got to treat myself to a few new toys. Because I have no actual life to speak of (i.e. going out, having a social life etc…) I decided to update my home theater system. I bought a whole new 7.1 THX certified surround system, Blu-Ray player and the piece de resistance a new 60” flat panel TV.
I. Love. It!
A good friend, who installs such things for a living, came over to hook everything up and make it work. After a couple days of playing with all the settings on the receiver and TV I have everything set for optimum awesomeness. Now having extra time on my hands I figured I was primed to have a random movie day. Here is what I watched:
I am a firm believer in all things nerdy. This is one of those things that I believe in wholeheartedly. I have been a fan of D&D for many years. I love the togetherness and comradery of the game. For me it was a chance for my closest friends and me to get together each week, catch up with each other and ultimately have fun enjoying each other’s company…. Oh yeah, and we got to pretend we were great warriors, master thieves, powerful wizards or accident prone dwarves! The wonderful stories we would weave while inhabiting those characters was priceless. There came a point where we actually had an audience for our weekly games. 10 to 15 people would cram into our apartment on a weekly basis, sit quietly and watch us become these characters. It was and will always be some of my favorite memories.
What this Kickstarter project is trying to give the world is a look at the genesis of what now is a major part of everyone’s daily lives in some way, shape or form. ‘Dungeons & Dragons: A Documentary’ tells the story of D&D from its humble beginnings in the mind of Gary Gygax to the world wide phenom it has become today.
We need this out in the world!
Please visit the Kickstarter page for ‘Dungeons & Dragons: A Documentary’ and consider throwing a couple bucks their way. You will not only get the fantastic gifts promised for each level of monetary commitment but you will also get the satisfaction of knowing you helped an artist achieve their dreams. Plus we will have a visual history of something that we all love.
(I am in no way affiliated with the making of this movie, I am just a big fan of supporting things that I love and believe in.)
Just a happy little reminder (like you weren’t already aware) that the newest season, or series if you are in the UK, of ‘Doctor Who’ premiers on BBCA TONIGHT!!! BBC America has a fun initiative to introduce a new generation to the wonderful sci fi series Doctor Who. In this initiative they ask the fans of the show to tweet about their first experience with The Doctor and some of their favorite moments. They are to then tag said tweets with #newtoWho. All this is a lead up to the next season of the show that starts this week. Since I am a big fan of the series and I have this forum to spew out my opinions about things, I figured I would throw my fez into the ring. So what follows is my first account of watching the show and a smattering of some of my favorite moments. This is my story. (more…)
