I always enjoy a good mob themed movie. In this one, two desperate souls turn to thieving by holding up a big time private cash game… poker cash game for the uninitiated. This particular game has some underworld connections and that connection calls in one of his connections… did I mention he was connected? From there the enforcer, played by Mr. Pitt, goes after the two stumblebums with the help of another heavy hitter played by one of my favorites, Mr. James Gandolfini. Throw in Ray Liotta and Richard Jenkins AND the fact this is based off of the George V. Higgins novel ‘Cogan’s Trade’…. this show has real potential.  I will be checking this out in October.
